CO-EXTENSIVE RESIDENCE PERMIT APPLICATION

A Co-Extensive Residence Permit is issued to a non-citizen allows dependents to enter and reside with the principal applicant who is a permit holder in the country. This section gives you an overview on how to apply for a Co-Extensive Residence Permit.

APPLY FOR CO-EXTENSIVE RESIDENCE PERMIT APPLICATION

New application for:
  • Non-citizen
  • New/Extension
Eligibility
  1. Dependent unmarried children under the age of 21 years and Spouse;
  2. All documents must be submitted as per Co-Extensive Residence Permit Documentary Requirements (refer Checklist) click here;
Criteria
  1. The Department reserves all rights to acquire additional documents for further verification, as and when required;
  2. Where a question in a particular section does not apply to you please put N/A;
  • Providing false information in this application can lead to imprisonment or a fine or both;
  1. If more than one applicant, each applicant is required to complete application form each;
  2. Applicant will be required to pay applicable fee (each applicant).
You must:-
  1. complete prescribed Residence Permit application New/Extension form click here;
  2. submit photographs less than 6 months old, good quality colour, full-face view of your head and shoulders and taken against a plain or light coloured background;
  3. Police report from country of citizenship for 18 years and above (within 1 year from date of issue)
  4. Medical Report (within 3 months from date of issue)
  5. submit Valid confirmed return air/boat ticket

5 Certified copy of Principal applicant’s birth certificate/marriage certificate/kinship certificate
6 Certified copy of applicant’s passport biodata page
7 Certified copy of applicant’s current Immigration arrival stamp
8 Copy of Principal Applicant’s passport biodata page
9 Copy of Principal Applicant’s Immigration permit stamp (from passport)
10 Bank Statement (principal applicant)
11 Scholarship Award Letter (if principal applicant is a student permit holder)
12 Police report from country of citizenship for 18 years and above (within 1 year from date of issue)
13 Medical Report (within 3 months from date of issue)
14 Confirmed return airline ticket/boat ticket

The Immigration Department will consider applications for the extension of permits on merit.

Eligibility

Existing Co-Extensive Residence Permit holders.

  1. All documents must be submitted as per Co-Extensive Residence Permit Documentary Requirements click here;
  2. Local Police Report (Local, if residing in the country for one (1) year);

Criteria

  1. The Department reserves all rights to acquire additional documents for further verification, as and when required;

  • Providing false information in this application can lead to imprisonment or a fine or both;

You must:-

  • lodged one (1) month prior to the expiry date of the permit

Any non-citizen wishing to reside in Fiji on Co-extensive Residence Permit will need to apply for a permit on the prescribed form to the Director of Immigration.

Dependents of the principal applicants (permit holders under this category) may apply for co-extensive permits to reside with the principal applicant.

Actual processing times may vary due to individual circumstances including:

  • whether the applicant has lodged a complete application which includes all required documents;
  • response to any requests for additional information
  • time taken to perform required checks; and
  • receiving additional information from external parties.
