Our evaluation of applications is done on a case-by-case approach. The duration it takes to process applications can differ for a variety of reasons, including:

• Your promptness in responding to requests for additional information.
• Time you take to make payments and submit confirmation of payment.
• The time required for us to conduct the necessary verifications.
• The time needed to obtain information from external agencies, particularly concerning health, character, and national security prerequisites.

Processing times are influenced by intricate cases, fluctuations in application numbers, and changes to policy directions.

Please note that the department will only respond to enquiries after 30 working days of Permit lodgment, 21 working days for Visa Application and 60 days for all Citizenship application.
