A Residence Permit under COVID-19 is granted to a non-citizen who is affected by the pandemic.

Eligibility

  1. All documents must be submitted as per Residence Permit UNDER COVID-19 Documentary Requirements (refer Checklist) click here;

Criteria

  1. The Department reserves all rights to acquire additional documents for further verification, as and when required;
  2. Where a question in a particular section does not apply to you please put N/A;
  3. Providing false information in this application can lead to imprisonment or a fine or both;
  4. Permit is only issued to ANY NON FIJIAN-CITIZENS AFFECTED BY COVID-19 ;
  5. Applicant will be required to pay application fee at the time of lodgment;

You must:

  • complete prescribed Residence Permit application New/Extension form click here;
  • submit photographs less than 6 months old, good quality colour, full-face view of your head and shoulders and taken against a plain or light coloured background;
  • submit Copy of Immigration Entry Clearance;

Documentary Requirements

Request letter (from the applicant/sponsor/company)

Two (2) recent passport size photographs

Certified copy of applicant’s passport biodata page

5

Copy of the current Immigration Arrival/Immigration Permit Stamp

6

Certified copy of sponsor’s passport bio data page/valid ID (if sponsored)

7

Medical Report (3 months from the date of issue)

 

Latest Bank Statement (if sponsored/sponsor’s bank statement)

 

Certified copy of Scholarship Award Letter (if sponsored student)

Copy of Vaccination Card

Application Fee

 

The Immigration Department will consider applications for the extension of permits on merit.

  • lodged one (1) month prior to the expiry date of the permit;
  • complete prescribed Residence Permit application New/Extension form click here;

  • The Department reserves all rights to acquire additional documents for further verification as and when required;

Application Fee

Any non-citizen affected by COVID-19 and wishing to continue to reside in Fiji will need to apply for a permit on the prescribed form to the Director of Immigration.

Your fees may include the application, issue Forms, Publications & Fees (immigration.gov.fj)and bond fees

Application actual processing period is 21 working days. However, actual processing times may vary due to individual circumstances including:

  • whether the applicant has lodged a complete application which includes all required documents;
  • response to any requests for additional information
  • time taken to perform required checks; and
  • receiving additional information from external parties.
