Criteria

• The applicant must be outside of Vanuatu at the time of his or her application
• The applicant is undertaking or is likely to undertake a course in any secondary, tertiary or technical institution in Vanuatu
• The applicant is a private or self-sponsored student
• The applicant is to be granted a Student Visa for a period similar to the period of his or her studies
• must continue to undertake the program of study which is the subject of the granting of the Student Visa
• The applicant must inform the Director in writing if he or she intends to change his or her program of study
• A member of the family of the applicant may be granted a Student Visa for the same period as the applicant
• The Director must receive a written advice from the institution that the applicant is a student or has enrolled to a study program offered in that institution.
