VISA APPLICATION

 Visitor Visa is issued for up to 4 months or period granted for other purposes. Ensure your application is approved prior to your travel.

APPLY FOR VISA

New application for:

  • Non- citizen from Non visa exempted countries – Check if you need a Visa click here;
  • Apply for Visitor Visa to visit Fiji for up to 4months or period granted for other purposes;
  • Apply 3 months before your planned travel date; and
  • Your application must be approved before you travel.

Eligibility

  1. Application must be made by persons over 18 years of age;
  2. All documents must be submitted as per Visa Documentary Requirements (refer Checklist) click here;
  • Sufficient funds to sustain duration of stay;
  1. Confirmed return air ticket; and
  2. Confirmed accommodation.

Criteria

  1. The Department reserves all rights to acquire additional documents for further verification, as and when required;
  2. Where a question in a particular section does not apply to you please put N/A;
  • Providing false information in this application can lead to imprisonment or a fine or both;
  1. Proof of approved Visa;
  2. Have the required Visa (where applicable) to the next country of visit after Fiji and will leave on or before the end of the authorized period of stay;
  3. Employment is prohibited if you are on a Visitor Visa; and
  • Applicant will be required to pay applicable application fee.

You must:-

  1. complete prescribed Application for a Visitor Visa For Fiji click here;
  2. submit photographs less than 6 months old (3) , good quality colour, full-face view of your head and shoulders and taken against a plain or light coloured background;
  • submit proof of funds to sustain duration of stay;
  1. submit copy of confirmed return air ticket; and
  2. submit confirmation of accommodation;
  3. submit translated certified copies of all non-English documents in English (registered translator).

HOLIDAY PURPOSE (FAMILY/FRIENDS/HOTEL) – [UP TO AN INITIAL 4 MONTHS STAY]

 

a.      Completed Visitors Visa Application form

 

b.      Certified copy of the Passport (Bio Data page)

 

c.       Two (02) recent passport size photos

 

d.      Confirmation of pre-booked hotel (IF accommodated at hotel)

 

e.      A copy of travel itinerary/ticket

 

f.       Proof of approved visa and onward ticket [IF applicant is travelling to another country needing visa]

 

g.      Proof of funds to sustain duration of stay (e.g., recent Bank Statement/Visa Cards)

 

h.      Local Sponsor letter (IF accommodated with family/friends)

 

i.       Copy of Sponsor Valid ID/Passport/Permit

 

j.       Consent letter from spouse (if travelling alone)

 

k.      Consent letter from parents (for 18 years and under) and travelling alone

 

l.       Proof of relationship with travelling companion (Marriage Certificate/Birth Certificates)

 

m.     Leave approved letter

TRANSITTING PURPOSE [FROM 3 HRS TO 72 HRS STAY]

 

a.      Completed Visitors Visa Application form

 

b.      Certified Copy of Passport (Bio data page)

 

c.       Two (02) recent passport size photos

 

d.      Proof of onward ticket to the next destination and another outward ticket if travelling out of that destination. 

 

e.      Proof of approved visa/permit for the next destination

BUSINESS/TRAINING/WORKSHOP PURPOSE 24(g) [UP TO 14 DAYS STAY]

 

a.      Completed Visitors Visa Application form

 

b.      Certified Copy of Passport (Bio data page)

 

c.       Two (02) passport size photos

 

 

d.      Sponsor letter if a local company/organization is sponsoring to indicate the undertaking person for the duration of his period) 

 

e.      Letter from the organization

                         i.         Letterhead with specific subject [single entry or multiple entry visa]

                        ii.         Purpose of visit

                       iii.         Outline of business/workshop/training to be undertaken

                       iv.         Intended duration of stay

                        v.         Location of undertaking [where will the business/workshop/training take place]

 

 

f.       A copy of the travel itinerary/ticket

FISHING AGENCIES (CREW/SEAMAN) – [UP TO 30 DAYS STAY]

 

a.      Completed Visitors Visa Application form

 

b.      Certified Copy of the Passport (Bio data page)

 

c.       Two (02) recent passport size photos

 

d.      Letter from the organization

                         i.         Letterhead with specific subject [single entry or multiple entry visa]

                        ii.         Purpose of visit

                       iii.         Intended duration of stay

                       iv.         Location of undertaking

 

e.      A copy of travel itinerary/ticket if joining vessel in another destination

 

f.       Crew List

TYPES OF VISA

 

a.      Single Entry Fees (FJ$91.00)

 

b.      Multiple Entry Fees (FJ$180.00)

 

Any non-citizen wishing to visit Fiji from a Visa required country will need to apply for a Visa on the prescribed form to the Director of Immigration.

Your fees may include the application, issue Forms, Publications & Fees (immigration.gov.fj)and bond fees

Dependents of the principal applicants (permit holders under this category) may apply for co-extensive permits to reside with the principal applicant.

Application actual processing period is 21 working days. However, actual processing times may vary due to individual circumstances including:

  • whether the applicant has lodged a complete application which includes all required documents;
  • response to any requests for additional information
  • time taken to perform required checks; and
  • receiving additional information from external parties.
