WORK PERMIT APPLICATION FOR NON-GOVERNMENT ORGANISATIONS (INTERNATIONAL/REGIONAL)

Work Permit are issued to a non-citizen to be employed by International or Regional Non-Governmental Organisations.

This section gives you an overview on how to apply for a work permit under Non-Government Organisations both international and regional organisations.

APPLY FOR WORK PERMIT

New application for:

  • Non-citizen currently employed by Non-Government Organisations;
  • Non-citizen who has employment offer.

Eligibility

  1. Application must be made by persons over 18 years of age;
  2. All documents must be submitted and adhered to as per Work Permit Application for Non-Government Organisations (International/Regional) Documentary Requirements click here;

Criteria

  1. Application must be filled by the Principal Applicant ONLY;
  2. The Department reserves all rights to acquire additional documents for further verification, as and when required;
  3. Where a question in a particular section does not apply to you please put NONE or N/A;
  4. Providing false information in this application can lead to imprisonment or a fine or both;
  5. The principal applicants spouse and dependent children to be included in the same form (applying at the same time);
  6. Application fee to be accompanied by the completed application form; and
  7. Applicant will be required to pay applicable Issue and Bond Fees once permit is approved.

You must:-

  1. complete prescribed Work Permit application form (Form No.: FID-002A) ) click here;
  2. submit photographs less than 6 months old, good quality colour, full-face view of your head and shoulders and taken against a plain or light coloured background;
  3. submit certified copies of all documents;
  4. also include your family member (spouse and children under 18 years) on the same form, if applying at the same time
  5. lodge application form to the nearest Fijian Immigration Office, Embassies, Fiji Consulate Offices or lodged online click here;
  6. keep a copy of your application and all attachments for your own record; andtranslated certified copies of all non-English documents in English (registered translator)

Medical Report for All (6 months from the date of issue)

Copy of Vaccination Card (All dependents)

Documentary Requirements

The Immigration Department will consider applications for the extension of permits on merit.

Eligibility

  1. Existing work permit (Non-Government Organisations for International and Regional) holders.
  2. All documents must be submitted and adhered to as per Work Permit Application for Non-Government Organisations (International/Regional) Documentary Requirements click here;

Criteria

  1. Application must be filled by the Principal Applicant ONLY;
  2. The Department reserves all rights to acquire additional documents for further verification, as and when required;
  • Where a question in a particular section does not apply to you please put NONE or N/A;
  1. Providing false information in this application can lead to imprisonment or a fine or both;
  2. The principal applicants spouse and dependent children to be included in the same form (applying at the same time);
  3. Application fee to be accompanied by the completed application form; and
  • Applicant will be required to pay applicable Issue and Bond Fees once permit is approved.

You must:-

  1. lodged one (1) month prior to the expiry date of the existing permit;
  2. complete prescribed Work Permit application form (Form No.: FID-002A) ) click here;
  • submit photographs less than 6 months old, good quality colour, full-face view of your head and shoulders and taken against a plain or light coloured background;
  1. submit certified copies of all documents;
  2. also include your family member (spouse and children under 18 years) on the same form,
          if applying at the same time;
  3. lodge application form to the nearest Fijian Immigration Office, Embassies, Fiji Consulate Offices or lodged online click here;
  • keep a copy of your application and all attachments for your own record; and
  1. translated certified copies of all non-English documents in English (registered translator).

Any foreigner wishing to study and reside in Fiji will need to apply for a permit on the prescribed form to the Director of Immigration.

Your fees may include the application, issue Forms, Publications & Fees (immigration.gov.fj)and bond fees

Dependents of the principal applicants (permit holders under this category) may apply for co-extensive permits to reside with the principal applicant.

Application actual processing period is 21 working days. However, actual processing times may vary due to individual circumstances including:

  • whether the applicant has lodged a complete application which includes all required documents;
  • response to any requests for additional information
  • time taken to perform required checks; and
  • receiving additional information from external parties.
