Visit Vanuatu

Typical visitors come to Fiji for the following reasons:

Only those arriving for medical treatment or yacht owners/members of a crew of a carrier will need to apply for their permits before arriving in the country. Others will be given visitor permits on Immigration Clearance. This visitor permit will allow a visitor up to 4 months of stay. The stay can further be extended to 2 months if applying for extension and the fee is paid.

Visitors will need to present the following at Immigration clearance:

  • a valid foreign passport
  • return ticket to country of residence or citizenship
  • Visa Approval Letter from the Fijian Immigration if the traveller is NOT a citizen of these visa-exempt countries
  • requisite fees ($F96) for travelers other than those arriving for medical treatment or yacht owners/members of a crew of a carrier. This is because those arriving for medical treatment or yacht owners/members of a crew of a carrier will have paid for their permits before arriving in the country.
  • Approval Letter from the Fijian Immigration if permit was for medical treatment or yacht owners/members of a crew of a carrier
  • completed and signed Arrival Card
  • confirmed address in Fiji
  • proof of sufficient funds

Visitors transiting Fiji for another destination within 72 hours after entry into Fiji will need to apply for a transit visa before arriving in Fiji. Proof of approved visa and onward ticket for the next country of destination after Fiji is needed.

Please refer to advice by the Fiji Revenue & Customs Authority regarding arriving in Fiji and departing Fiji.
